All-County High School and 8th Grade Orchestra

 

When: Thursday, October 17, 2019

Where: Monticello High School

Who: All Albemarle County 8th grade and high school orchestra students 

 

Purpose: This is an event in which string players from all middle and high schools will have a chance to perform with a large ensemble in a non-competitive environment. It will be acommunity-building event, which will strengthen our county strings program as a whole and

provide students with a wonderful performance opportunity.

 

Cost: $5 per student. This will cover the cost of dinner, snacks, and custodial fees.

(Students will eat lunch at their school before travelling to MHS)

Time will be provided after dinner for students to change into concert attire.

 

Schedule

A school bus will leave each school around 12:15pm to take students to MHS.

1:00 arrive at MHS, seating/tuning

1:30 rehearsal #1

2:40 break

2:50 rehearsal #2

4:00 break

4:10 rehearsal #3

5:20 break

5:30 Dress Rehearsal

6:00 Dinner/Change Clothes/Tuning

7:00 CONCERT

 

This year the 8th grade and high school All-County ensembles will perform at the same event so the students will have the opportunity to hear the other ensemble perform. 

 

Return the attached permission form and money as soon as possible. Checks payable to your

School.
